Office365 makes nothing but sense for most Vertafore users that rely on Microsoft Office and explorer to support their vertafore apps; you get the latest office for everybody, credit for your previous versions, HUGE mailboxes with 150mb message limits, sharepoint, yammer, skype for office, centralized management and a host of other key benefits over traditional exchange or mail server options.. usually for less money after all factors are considered. With Daytona Agency, you save even more.
If you're considering a move to Office365 - we're the team to help! Conversion from hosted exchange, Google mail and other mail servers can be complex, but we're experienced experts that know how not only to properly migrate your mail/contacts/calendars/intranet/skype etc, but often saving you a LOT of money in the process. The secret to purchasing Office365 from most resellers is that you're getting the same product as if you purchased directly (as the servers are at Microsoft; not your reseller's facility). They may offer additional services for a fee, but that fee is margin representing little benefit to you. As always, we've taken a different, client-centric approach. Instead of becoming a value-added (therefore price-added) reseller, DaytonaAgency assists with conversions on a consultant basis, allowing you to seek maximum discounts for a commodtized product during conversion. Further, we've got a track record of successful conversions.
The stream mini is an awesome machine for the money - maybe not on it's own performance stats but based on it's ease of upgrade. Many of you have mentioned that they haven't been able to upgrade the (rather insufficient) 32GB SSD included, but there is a way, and here it is in plain English:
What you will need:
I've found video guides that have said to use Macrium Reflect Free to make a disk clone and although you will need this software, the disk clone will not work, you will run into a drive signature conflict. You need to use the image feature, instead. Here is what you need to do, in order:
A note on RAM upgrades: The stream has 2 RAM slots, unlike its HP Chromebox cousin that only has 1. This means you can upgrade to 6gb easily by adding a 4gb chip in the second slot, there is no need for parity, just make sure you purchase the 1.35 12800 SODIMM not the 1.5v, the stream uses low voltage RAM. Something self-overclocking would be preferred like the HyperX.

There was an update to a vertafore help article this morning that reads:
"At this time, AMS360® is not supported with Windows 8.1 or Internet Explorer 11. AMS360 v8.0 supports Windows 8.0 and Internet Explorer 10."
We have been able to run AMS360 on IE10 for some time now, its great to see support has started, as well. Internet Explorer 11 and Windows 8.1 are still NOT supported, and don't function properly. Please be certain to turn off your automatic Windows Updates. You will need to filter through them and make sure IE11 and Windows 8.1 don't install on your system to keep using AMS360 for now. If you need help on how to do this, contact us.
This comes up enough that it should be addressed:
If you've lost the remote to your Apple TV, you may feel that all hope is lost. I know they say you can "order another one" and "the price is reasonable" etc but if you are like me, you are messing with this thing because you have a Netflix show or movie to watch NOW, not in 5 days. Don't worry - Daytona Agency has an answer for you that will let you see house of cards TONIGHT.
There is a youtube video showing you how to hardwire your internet to your apple TV if you can't hook it up to wifi (no remote) but assumes home-sharing is already on. For me - it was not. Hopefully you have an HDMI television within 10ft of your router, because you will need to do this first.
The fix in the youtube video only helps if you have homesharing turned on PRIOR to losing your remote. This is the case for nobody finding this blog post, so here is how you ACTUALLY fix it, since (in this Apple catch-22) there is no web-interface to actually let you setup the device without the apple remote that is probably in the trash under some old thai takeout.
Dispite the lack of info in the Apple support articles, you CAN use your cable box/universal remote to control your Apple TV. It may be clunky, but it's good enough to re-enable your iphone to use the "remote" app (search "apple tv remote" from the app store). For my Brighthouse TV and Cisco cable box, the code was 836 for DVD. The "menu" button will act as your "back" button. Connect your apple remote, disconnect your ethernet cable from the back of the Apple TV to re-enable wifi settings with the help of your iphone remote. Which is better than the apple remote ever was.. by far.

With one day to go until the ACA health care exchanges open, here is a good reminder from the government to always remember to update your aliases when using search-engine-friendly URL re-writes:
If your agency utilizes AMS360 on the web, you may have grown a little frustrated lately with conflicts arrising from Windows updates. The Vertafore support team has been exeptional at helping people through, but the support articles seem to be falling a little behind on some of the most common bugs and fixes. If you have Windows 7 64-bit, you know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, AMS360 users are still tied to Internet Explorer 9, which isn't available on Windows 8. Check below for your error, and a quick, real world tutorial to fix it fast:
